As a realist it is important not to turn a painting into a photograph. Once a painting resembles a photo is no longer referred to as a realist piece and its artistic value can then only be compared to ZERO in my humbled opinion. In order to better understand the concept please study the brush strokes in the painting of my "Bum". Neither the colors nor the lines are in any shape or form akin to the model in real life. Before rushing to calling this piece an "impressionist" piece understand that true impressionism does not possess anatomy.
